Classes being offered: 8-10 dog, 4-6 dog & 1-2 dog skijor - 12 miles. 1 dog junior & 1-2 dog junior - 50 yards. Time:
4:00 check in, waivers signed. Entries: Please e-mail Kim & Kelly Berg. Let them know which class you will be running in. We will have you sign a waiver the day of the race. THERE IS A LIMIT TO 15 TEAMS! So if you would like to race send that e-mail right now. Fees: No entry fee, but your North Country Mushers membership must be current. The trail will not be closed to other users. It will be posted a week earlier on the trail to warn snowmobiles of the upcoming race. Strongly encouraged that lead dogs wear something bright, mandatory that all drivers wear a brightly colored jacket/vest. Mandatory Gear: Each sled should have a working brake, snow hook & sled bag. To be carried on the person or in the sled: Fire starter, knife & working headlamp. WE WILL BE CHECKING HEADLAMPS TO MAKE SURE THEY WORK! Rules for the fun classes: The junior races will be in two age groups, under 5 years, and then 6-10 years old. The younger kids will run with 1 dog, older kids may have 1 or 2 dogs. Juniors do not need to bring a prize to swap. Volunteering: We will need volunteers to make this race possible. We need people to help hold sleds at the start, and people to help get the teams to the start. Would you like to help out? If so please e-mail Kim & Kelly Berg. Prizes: Please bring something fun to put in for a prize. Prizes will be awarded by class, with first place choosing first. Prizes do not have to be wrapped and should be around a $10.00 value. Dinner after the race: We are thinking of going for pizza at Bristol House of Pizza after awards have been chosen. We hope you can join us. PLEASE NOTE: There are no bathrooms at this location!
