Northomes Homer SDX

How we got him: Homer is our newest dog from Al & Ann Stead. When Mannie and Homer were pups I was supposed to get Homer. The only problem was that Homer would not behave in the crate, and Mannie would. Ann sent me Mannie. I was excited when Ann asked us if we wanted Homer. Homer came to live with us March 2008.

How he got his name: Ann called Homer "Homely Homer" when he was a pup. He is now "Handsome Homer".

Career in harness: We did run Homer a little bit at the end of the 2008 season. We were able to train him up for the 2009 season. What a hard working dog! Homer finished his SD title with 180 miles (he only needed 100 miles), and his SDX in 2011.

Some more about him: Homer is a friendly outgoing guy. He LOVES attention. Homie also likes to back talk like his brother. Scott says that Homer is the type of dog that you have to stop and play with even when you are in a hurry. We are going to try training him in obedience to see how he does. I would also like to show him under judges who would not mind his coloring.

His best friend: Homer has not settled on a best friend yet. He does seem to love the ladies.

His favorite thing: I think Homer's favorite thing is attention.

Eyes: S-11188/10-79
