Heartsong's Diamond In The Ruff TKI, CGC, ATT, RN, VHMA, BCAT, FITB, SWN, SCA, FTN
color: black
eye color: brown
DOB: 4/29/21

How we got him: I decided I wanted a fun dog to do sports with. I love my Siberians, but they are not an easy breed to train. I was on a waiting list for a Wirehaired Vizla, but the mom took forever to come into season. I saw that this Lab breeder had puppies available. The timing was perfect since I'm home all summer. We drove up to see him and I fell in love with him the moment we made eye contact.

How he got his name: On the drive home we looked at names for black dogs. We got as far as Carbon and we knew it was the right name. Scott came up with the registered name.

Training and showing: I taught him all sorts of tricks from a young age. They cannot earn any trick titles until 4 months of age. I had returned back to school when he was 4 months old. I was able to do the novice title, but I did not had the time to do his intermediate routine until the winter of 2023. He easily got his CGC, Virtual Home Manners, and AKC temperament test titles. Then I finished his Rally Novice title (he placed for all 3 legs). He finished his BCAT title the summer of 2023.

We have been having fun with Scentwork, he is a natural. Carbon finished his Scentwork Novice Buried title first. He placed for all 3 of his legs; 3rd, 1st and 2nd place. Then he earned his Novice Container and Exterior titles on the same day. Carbon went on to finish his overall Novice title. He is currently working in Advanced, and he finished his Container title already. Carbon also earned his Novice Fetch Dog title the fall of 2024.

Some more about him: Carbon is an amazing dog. He lives to please, and I love him dearly.

His best friend: Max

His favorite thing: Me and food.

Eyes: cleared 2023
Heart: Normal 2022
Hips: good
